Thursday, 11 May - Joint Chambers Networking Event organized by CLIC:

CLIC is a loose organization of 8 smaller European Chambers of Commerce in Japan created for the purpose of

organizing innovative networking events to enable trading of ideas between the members of the participating chambers.

CLIC consists of the Austrian Business Council, the Belgian-Luxembourg, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish and Swiss Chambers.

Establishing a Swedish Premium Brand in Japan

Volvo Car Corporationis a Swedish luxury vehicle manufacturer established in 1927 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since 2010 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Geely of China.

At the 4th CLIC Event Mr. Takayuki Kimura, President and CEO of Volvo Car Japan, will reveal the secrets behind VOLVO’s success in Japan and share with us his views on the future of the automotive industry.

About Takayuki Kimura

Takayuki Kimura was born in 1965 and graduated with MBA from University of North Carolina in 2003, and with BS Degree in Material Science and Engineering from Osaka University in 1987.

He has started his career at Toyota Motor Corp, and experienced in product planning and sales, including brand building of Lexus in Japan. After worked as CEO of Nissan Asia Pacific and Nissan Indonesia, joined Volvo Car Japan as CEO in 2014. He is a licence holder of Wine Expert, and Professional Guide in English.
