The Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (DCCJ) is seeking a dynamic and multilingual professional to join our team as the Executive Director. This full-time position is pivotal in driving our mission to strengthen the Danish business community in Japan.
About DCCJ
The DCCJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering networking and knowledge sharing among Danish businesses in Japan. Established in the 1950s, we collaborate closely with key partners such as the Royal Danish Embassy, the European Business Council, and other Chambers of Commerce to support the Danish business presence in Japan.
Job Description
As the Executive Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the DCCJ. This role is highly versatile, offering you the chance to engage with various sectors and companies. You will report directly to the Board of Directors, represented by the Chairman of DCCJ.
Key responsibilities include:
Organizing engaging events and coordinating with relevant speakers.
Promoting Chamber activities through emails, newsletters, and website updates.
Managing communication with existing and prospective members, partners, and stakeholders.
Working closely with the DCCJ Board of Directors and Chairman.
Job Requirements
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Japanese is essential with preferred knowledge of Danish.
Personality: Outgoing, detail-oriented, and flexible with a readiness to tackle new challenges.
Communication: Excellent communicator and writer.
IT Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheets, presentations, and document management. Quick learner of new software, including website and newsletter tools. Social media skills are a plus.
